Zev Rovine Selections is a pioneering U.S. wine import and distribution company specializing in small estates making authentic, natural, and terroir-driven wines. Founded by our longtime friend and industry trailblazer Zev Rovine, ZRS has been a leading force in introducing and championing natural wine in the United States. Zev has played a key role in sparking the movement here and has inspired countless wine professionals along the way. We have been working with Zev and his team since the early 2010s, back when “natural wine” was still an unfamiliar concept to most of the trade, and we have learned a tremendous amount from Zev’s vision and expertise over the years.
The winemakers in Zev’s portfolio each have their own philosophies, but all share a belief that great wine begins in the vineyard, not the winery. They work their land with organic or biodynamic principles, focusing on healthy soils and biodiversity. In the cellar, the approach is minimalist and non-interventionist, avoiding chemical additives and adjustments. Many wines are made with no additions whatsoever, or zero-zero wine. Radical to some, his producers simply see it as the way wine was always meant to be made.
Ultimately, Zev Rovine Selections acts as a conduit between devoted growers and adventurous drinkers, connecting people to wines that speak honestly of their place and the hands that made them.
