At the age of 18, Camila Opazo left her home country of Chile to join her brother in Bordeaux, France. In 2007, wine was completely unknown to her. After learning French, she interned at a Grand Cru in Pessac-Léognan, surrounded by enthusiasts and exceptional wines, which ignited her passion for the wine world. Following her studies in France, Camila pursued a master's degree in oenology, specializing in the science and technology of sparkling wines in Tarragona, Spain. There, she discovered organic and biodynamic agriculture, which inspired her to pursue winemaking with real purpose.

Camila spent three intense years exploring viticulture and vinification techniques across the Conchagua Valley in Chile, Tarragona in Spain, Limoux in France, Marlborough in New Zealand, and Hérault. In 2019, destiny brought her to Tautavel. The terroir, the vibrant environment, the potential, and especially the wines made the decision an easy one.

Established in 2019, Mas Gualler is located in the Pyrénées-Orientales, covering 10 hectares in total, with 8 hectares planted to vines. The vineyards are located in Banyuls-sur-Mer, Maury, and Estagel. Five hectares are certified organic, while three hectares are in organic conversion, starting in 2020. Biodynamic techniques are also employed. Vineyard work is 100% manual.

Winemaking techniques evolve according to the grape and the year. The wines age in old oak barrels to allow for development and stabilization without resorting to chemical or aggressive processes. Very light additions of sulfites are used at bottling for certain vintages if necessary.
