Jean-Baptise and Charlotte Senat moved from Paris to the Languedoc in 1995 to pursue a dream of living the paysan life and working the vineyards of their family. Jean-Baptise's family has owned vines in Trausse, Minervois for several generations, selling grapes to the local co-op. Inspired by many legendary vigneron and the readings of Jules Chauvet, the Senats decided to farm organically, grow vines in the traditional gobelet (bush vines), and make low intervention, natural wines.

Jean-Baptiste manages the vines and the cellar while Charlotte directs the marketing and commercial side of things as well as organizes one of the best natural wine fairs in the world—Le Vin de Mes Amis—held in Montpellier at the end of January.

Their soulful wines reflect their exuberant personalities and thirst for the finer things in life, family, friends, art, culture, food, and drink. These are pure, mineral-driven wines of place, balance, and freshness. Their beautiful terroirs of limestone and clay with intense forested garrigue and natural cooling from nearby Montagne Noire must be visited to fully comprehend. Minervois is magic.
