On the southwest shore of Lake Balaton, winemaker Florian Zaruba tends to his vines, which are situated near orchards, pastures and forests alike. Totally organic since 2018, the farm is now home to chickens, cattle, sheep and bees.

Farming: In lieu of pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers and any sort of chemical treatment, the vines are protected using only natural protection, namely a lot of time walking the vines. For Kristinus, the vines and winemaking is only a part of the circle of holistic and sustainable agriculture. Along with chickens and sheep, the farms two new Murbodener cow’s Gisi and Goldi, are a crucial part to biodynamic farming and producing expressive and healthy wines.
