Šumenjak Farm is a family-owned estate situated in Jakobski Dol, just 10.5 miles outside the city of Maribor in northeastern Slovenia. They manage 14 hectares of land, with a primary focus on viticulture. In addition to their wine production, they are involved in beekeeping, spirits production, and raising suckler cows.

Biodiversity is of utmost importance. A living vineyard will produce healthy grapes and terroir-driven wines. Therefore, the Šumenjak family farms organically without fertilization, herbicides, or synthetic preservatives.

All wines are produced as naturally as possible without artificial interference. Popular for their orange wines, maceration length depends on the variety and style of the wine. All wines ferment spontaneously with native yeast and are bottled unfined and unfiltered.
