The name Bueno Jugo is a play on the Spanish phrase buen jugo , which translates to the “ good juice. ”

Bueno Jugo was made for the purpose of drinking with less thinking. If you are familiar with glou glou wines, you’ll know exactly what the vibe of this wine is. If you’re not familiar, the phrase glou glou is an onomatopoeia, a word that imitates the sound it’s aiming to describe. In the case of wine, it’s the sound of wine being poured rapidly from its container. Bueno Jugo is a light-bodied red wine with vibrant acidity and peppery undertones. It goes down easy and is best enjoyed with a slight chill.

Winemaking Notes: Minimal intervention; native yeast fermentation; zero sulfites added; low ABV

Vineyard Notes: The grapes are currently sourced from Terrace Hill Vineyard in Watervilet (which Modales has under contract and could designate as "estate") and Herman Vineyard (which practices sustainable farming and was a pioneer in herbicide-free viticulture). While the Terrace Hill Vineyard is not yet fully organic, Modales is actively working with the grower to transition to more sustainable practices.
