This is the first ever Gamay Noir from Modales!
Fruit Source: The grapes were manually harvested from Kroupa Farms on Old Mission Peninsula. For over a century, the Kroupa family has cultivated the land on Old Mission Peninsula, passing down the farming tradition through six generations.
Winemaking Notes: 25% underwent carbonic maceration for brightness & lift, while the rest fermented as whole berries for texture & depth. All parts were native fermented to preserve the vineyard's natural expression. The wine then rested in neutral French oak for 7 months, gaining polish without losing its freshness.
Tasting Notes: The Gamay grape, a cousin of Pinot Noir, became beloved for its rare ability to make wines that dance between playful & elegant. Soft tannins, fresh red fruits, earthy undertones, quietly sophisticated & effortlessly drinkable. The kind of wine that’s both easy to love & worth slowing down for.
Suggested Pairings: Grilled Salmon, Mushroom Pizza, Carnitas Tacos, Roasted Turkey & Fall Weather
