Cantina Bolzano Pinot Nero comes from warm, well ventilated vineyards on the Renon and in Oberleitach, planted between 500 and 750 meters above sea level. Pinot Nero has been cultivated in Alto Adige for more than a century, and these mountain sites provide ideal conditions for producing a fresh, elegant expression of the grape.

The wine is an elegant ruby color with aromas of red cherry, raspberry, plum, and violet, along with a delicate note of licorice. On the palate, it is full flavored and medium bodied, with light tannins. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, with a portion of the wine spending a short period in wooden casks before release.

A balanced and approachable mountain Pinot Nero that brings together bright red fruit, gentle spice, and the freshness of Alto Adige’s higher elevation vineyards.
