Cantina Bolzano Puntscheit Kerner comes from steep, sun exposed vineyards in the Isarco Valley and on the Renon, planted at approximately 600 to 800 meters above sea level. The vineyards are farmed using organic practices, with the high elevation and light, gravelly soils providing ideal conditions for Kerner.

Kerner is a crossing of Schiava Grossa and Riesling that performs particularly well in the higher elevations of Alto Adige. The grapes are gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, with the wine also matured in stainless steel to preserve its freshness and crisp character.

Puntscheit is straw yellow with green hues, offering expressive aromas of peach, apricot, mandarin orange, and a touch of nutmeg. The palate is dry, full flavored, and juicy, making it a natural match for light starters, cold meats, egg and mushroom dishes, freshwater fish, and steamed seafood. It also works beautifully as an aperitif.
