Ingredients: Mersel's 'Distilled Emotions' Arak is made from just 3 ingredients. First, Merwah grapes are grown in Dimane in the Qannboubine in Lebanon at 1,600 meters above sea level. Then Aniseed is sourced from Hinna, Syria and Hermel, Lebanon. Finally, mountain spring water is added during the final distillation.
Spirit-making Notes: The grapes are hand harvested, crushed, and fermented. They are then double-distilled in a traditional copper still over a woodfire to achieve clarity and concentration. It is then distilled a third time with Lebanese and Syrian Aniseed and mountain spring water. It is aged in clay amphora before being bottled by hand.
