Vineyard Notes: This wine is 100% manually harvested Garnacha from a single plot that is all goblet trained within the estate vineyard in the Los Chacayes IG in the Uco Valley. The 0.5 hectare plot was planted in 2012. The vineyard is located at 3,800 feet above sea level.

Winemaking Notes: Grapes macerate with 100% stem inclusion in open top bins with native yeast fermentation before being racked to clay amphorae and 3rd use French oak (50%/50%). The wine ages on the lees for 24 months before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Tasting Notes: The nose is vibrant and perfumed showing raspberry and cranberry wrapped up in wet clay and a touch of ash. The palate is soft and round with red cherry and baking spices with a light tannin backbone. A very nuanced and layered wine.

"The 2020 Garnacha Gloria S comes from Los Chacayes in the Uco Valley. 50% was aged in amphorae with lees, while the other half spent 20 months in 600-liter French oak barrels. A dark garnet-red in hue. The nose presents sour cherry, damp earth, orange peel and a subtle Cointreau-like perfume. On the palate, it's dry and relatively concentrated. Vibrant tannins contribute to a mildly reactive structure infused with a refreshing tartness. This nuances, tasty red has a lasting saline touch that lingers at the back of the mouth."
