    Wild herbs, rose, lavender and sour cherry can all be found in the glass as the 2020 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Anfora slowly comes to life. This floods the palate with masses of mineral-tinged red fruits under a pretty violet floral air, while brisk acids create an almost-crunchy sensation. This wine is lightly structured with grippy tannins, yet the mouth is left watering for more as a hint of orange oil slowly fades. Nicely done.
