Holmes Cay (700 ml) 2012 'Single Cask' Port Cask Rum, Barbados (110 proof)

Holmes Cay 2012 Port Cask edition is a product of the world famous Foursquare Rum Distillery of Barbados. This blend of column and pot still rum was distilled at Foursquare, aged 8 years in Barbados, then underwent a further year of secondary maturation in second-fill port casks in New York.

Aging Notes : Aged 8 years in Barbados in ex-bourbon casks, then aged an additional 18 months in New York in second-fill port casks. Aging alone creates the complex flavors of the Barbados 2012 Port Cask. No sugar, no color, and no other flavors were added in the making of this rum.

Limited : Only 5 casks of this 9-year old rum have been released.

Tasting Notes : Light Christmas spice on the nose. Cherry and vanilla lead to a very dry finish with notes of Christmas spice, a bit of stone fruit and oak. Best enjoyed neat with a splash of water.
