The Macoun, a cross between the McIntosh apple and Jersey Black apple, was first discovered in 1923 at the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station. It is a popular variety in New York, which is fondly called the "East Coast Honeycrisp" for its juicy flavor and prevalence at farm stands in the fall.
This cider has a definite ‘Mac’ flavor with tropical, honey, and spice undertones.
