Vintage Notes: Cooler spring temperatures delayed budbreak by an average of two weeks but when the heat came it blasted us with the warmest June on record – bloom caught up to normal and we enjoyed a very toasty summer.

The vintage was early in part to the heat but a small harvest and smaller Syrah clusters sped up the ripening - intensity is the hallmark of 2023.

Harvest began September 2 – among the earliest vintages. This wine is rich with powerful black fruit aromas with fruit and coffee notes along with dark chocolate on the lingering finish.

Technical Notes: This 220 barrel blend was cellared in 7% new French Oak barrels for 23 months. The 100% Yakima Valley blend was sourced from our estate Outlook and Union Gap Vineyards with Red Willow and our neighbor Verhey Vineyards. 25% of the blend is estate grown Grenache to soften the tannins and extend the fruity notes on the finish.
