Vintage Notes: With so many hot vintages in the past two decades 2022 was a bit of a throwback year – with plenty of snowpack in winter the cool spring temperatures delayed budbreak and provided plenty of growth on the vines.
The cooler temperatures were followed by an intensely hot and short summer and ended with an extremely long glorious Indian summer.
Winemaking Notes: This 24 barrel blend was cellared in 57% new French Oak barrels for 24 months. 50% of the fruit was harvested from Red Willow Vineyard, 37% Outlook Vineyard, and 13% Union Gap Estate.
Tasting Notes: The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon in Yakima Valley is more old world in nature and will age spectacularly well. The wine is beautifully perfumed with dark fruit notes, with dark cocoa notes on the finish.
