“Rather modest in alcohol and with very little tannin, this wine shows crisp acidity and the spirit of late summer—a true vin de soif. The nose offers exotic notes of candy cane, peppermint, and raspberry. This is not a wine to write a monograph about (unless the subject is pure deliciousness); it is simply one to enjoy on the porch or deck, ideally outdoors if you can manage.” ~ Randall Grahm

This is the 2nd release of Cinsaut by Popelouchum. Bunches were air-dried for 4 days with the aim of lignifying the stems and imparting more structure. The 2024 vintage remains a wine of spring and summer; enormously fragrant and elegant. Best consumed lightly chilled.
