3 Badge Beverage Corporation is a family-owned négociant based in Sonoma, California, offering a dynamic portfolio of wines and spirits that honor tradition while embracing innovation. Founded in 2015 and led by fourth-generation vintner August Sebastiani, 3 Badge is the latest chapter in one of California’s oldest winemaking legacies.
The Sebastiani family’s winemaking story began in 1904 when August’s great-grandfather, Samuele Sebastiani, established one of Sonoma’s first wineries after emigrating from Tuscany. Through Prohibition and the Great Depression, Samuele’s resilience and ingenuity kept the winery alive by canning fruit, paving roads, and producing sacramental wines when few others could survive. This spirit of perseverance and respect for community continues to inform the ethos of 3 Badge today.
The company operates out of a historic, refurbished fire station in downtown Sonoma. The name 3 Badge is a nod to the three service badges earned by August’s grandfather as a volunteer firefighter.
