August Sebastiani named this gin in honor of his favorite uncle, Valerio Cecchetti, a retired physician from Lucca, Italy. Uncle Val’s botanical gin recipes draw inspiration from his love of gardening and Tuscan cuisine. The gin features juniper, cucumber, lemon, sage, and lavender—ingredients that Uncle Val uses in his cooking and grows in his garden. These botanical ingredients also create an exceptionally unique and smoothly delicious gin.
Uncle Val’s Gin is gluten-free and made with all-natural ingredients. There are no artificial flavors, colors or additives. It is an American wet or a compound gin, meaning the botanicals are added post-distillation. The filtration and purification of the base occurs first, bringing the impurities to less than 0.0005% for minimum hangover. Then the botanicals are added, allowing the flavor profile to evolve with a high degree of control. Uncle Val's Gin is distilled five times for exceptional smoothness.
