Luca Bambara grew up in Québec with Sicilian roots and eventually returned to Sicily to make the wines he had always imagined. His focus is simple: native Sicilian grapes, organic farming, and a hands off approach in the cellar that lets the fruit and place come through.
Luca works with small growers and winemakers throughout Sicily, selecting organically farmed grapes that are hand harvested. The wines are fermented with native yeasts and made with very little sulfur, keeping the winemaking focused on freshness, fruit, and the character of each vineyard and region.
Bambara da Casa takes its name from the Sicilian tradition of vino da casa, the everyday “house wine” poured at home and shared around the table. These are wines made in that same spirit: honest, lively, approachable, and meant to be enjoyed with food and good company.
Each cuvée highlights a different native grape and part of Sicily, with minimal intervention allowing the fruit and terroir to speak for themselves. The result is a collection of straightforward, characterful Sicilian wines that are easy to open, easy to drink, and made for sharing.
