Fabien Duveau 2022 Les Poyeux, Saumur Blanc AOC

Before Clos Rougeard made Brézé its iconic Chenin Blanc vineyard, the estate's white wine came from Les Poyeux. Today, this celebrated site is planted almost entirely to Cabernet Franc, but Fabien Duveau's family still farms a tiny 0.08-hectare parcel of Chenin Blanc, making one of the only single-vineyard white wines from Les Poyeux. Fermented and aged on its lees in neutral oak, the wine is remarkably precise, combining vibrant citrus, layered texture, and the distinctive limestone minerality that has made this vineyard legendary. Production is limited to just 10–12 barrels each year.
