Resembling the Pinot Noirs produced in the cooler climes of Burgundy, the Lake Michigan shorelines are complementary to the growing vagaries of this grape. The grapes are sourced from the Shawnee Vineyard at Dablon Estate.

Vinified to produce soft tannins, this wine is elegant and pleasing in the glass. The nose has subtle notes of red cherry, cranberry, and brown spices. The palate starts silky, then quickly reveals an underlying structure of spicy tannins that give the wine a wonderful foundation. The flavors are rich and mimic the nose with a hint of black tea. Though approachable now, the wine will age into a silky beauty in the near term.
