Winemaking Notes: The Zorzal 'Gran Terroir' Chardonnay is fermented with native yeasts in barrel. Fermentation lasts about 15 days and the wines remains in contact with the lees in barrel for 6 months. The wine is then aged for 12 months in 500L French barrels.

Tasting Notes: The vibrant nose shows notes of nutmeg, lemon custard, and toasted pine nut all enveloped in a baked bread crust. The wine is medium bodied on the palate with oyster shell, crushed wet rock, green apple, and orange peel with a satin finish. Crisp and delicious!

From grapes purchased from Finca Ambrosia, a vineyard neighboring Zorzal, also in Gualtallary, in the northern Uco Valley, this wine has an almost tannic texture that anchors itself on the palate and begs for raw shellfish with lemon juice. The flavors are fruity, with notes of spice and the light saline touches typical of this zone of calcareous soils. Tremendous value for money here.
