Vineyard Notes: The Cascina delle Rose Barbera d’Alba is sourced from two vineyards, one located in the village of Barbaresco and one in the village of Neive. The terrain is complex with a prevalence of layers. The blue marl soil is at a depth from 1 to 3 meters.
Winemaking Notes: Harvest is manual. Fermentation occurs naturally with native yeast. The skins are submersed during fermentation via pump overs for around 15 days. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation. It ages around 15 months in traditional Slavonian oak casks of 10 and 20 hectoliters in size. The wine is not filtered or fined.
Tasting Notes: The Cascina delle Rose Barbera d'Alba is bright and lively with wild red berries. It shows impressive finesse, beautiful acid structure, and a harmonious finish. Enjoy this dynamic red wine on its own or with pizza, burgers, red meat dishes, medium-aged cheeses, and more.
