Founded by award-winning sommelier Jacob Kocemba and business developer Bo Sten Hansen, Copenhagen Sparkling Tea Company is the original creator of the Sparkling Tea category — a sophisticated fusion of organic teas and fine bubbles that redefines what a non-alcoholic beverage can be.
Sparkling Tea was born in 2010 when Jacob, while working at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Copenhagen, couldn’t find a wine to match a dessert. Instead, he created a tea-based alternative using a blend of exclusive teas — a move that sparked an entirely new category. In 2017, he partnered with Bo to bring this unique beverage to the world, and today, Copenhagen Sparkling Tea is sold in over 50 countries and poured in more than 100 Michelin-starred restaurants globally.

The Art of Sparkling Tea
Each bottle is a refined blend of up to 13 high-quality organic teas from the delicate elegance of white teas to the depth and richness of black teas. Among the teas used are some of the world’s most exclusive varieties, including First Flush Darjeeling and Silver Needle. To complement and elevate the tea’s natural character, a touch of white wine or grape juice is added for subtle sweetness, along with subtle touches of lemon and other natural aromas — with no artificial additives ever. This carefully curated combination results in a layered, nuanced flavor profile and a refined balance that defines each expression of Sparkling Tea.
Every batch is meticulously hand-brewed by founder and sommelier Jacob Kocemba. Precise control over brewing temperature and time is applied to each individual tea, essential for achieving optimal flavor. Brewed separately and blended in small batches, each component contributes to a final product that reflects both integrity and exceptional consistency.
Each bottle of Sparkling Tea has a pressure of 5-5.5 bars, offering the same celebratory sparkle as Champagne. Best enjoyed chilled, it's the perfect alternative for toasts, pairings, or mindful sipping.
