Aging: Aging in neutral French oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation on its lees. Racked once. Bottled without fining or filtration.
Tasting Notes: The Cabernet Franc got to 24 Brix this vintage, so it's a bigger style than past vintages.
Food Pairing: Serve cool with charcuterie, grilled chicken thighs with a side of grilled sweet red peppers and onions, pizza, and liver pates on baguette. It also is delicious with cheesy pasta dishes and can go with nearly everything a Chianti would complement.
About the Name: Marland means "land near the lake" in Old English.
