Vina Krapez 2022 'Classic' White, Slovenia

Vineyard Notes: Made from organically farmed grapes in Slovenia’s Vipava Valley, Vina Krapež Classic White is a field blend of Poljšakica, Rebula, and Malvasia d’Istria from vineyards averaging 90 years old on sandstone and clay soils with southern exposure.

Winemaking Notes: After a five day skin maceration, the wine spontaneous ferments with indigenous yeasts. After aging for 12 months in neutral oak and acacia barrels, the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur addition.

Tasting Notes: Golden orange color, aromas of lemon, grapefruit, white flowers, chamomile, honey. Dry, textured, and vibrant, with bright acidity, soft tannins, and a crisp, saline finish accented by lingering citrus notes.

Food Pairings: Ideal as an aperitif. Also pairs well with seafood risotto, roasted fish, grilled poultry, vegetable dishes, fresh cheeses, and pasta with seafood.
