Tasting notes : The Meinklang Grüner Veltliner is zesty and refreshing with lovely texture, complexity and juiciness. It leads with lime, green apple, and a hint of elderflower. Flavors of green apple, yellow-fleshed fruit, white pepper, herbs, and minerals show on the palate. This is a versatile and playful wine; try pairing it with asparagus, artichokes, salads, fish dishes, rich pastas, spicy sausage, and vegan dishes.
Farming Notes: Meinklang's herd of Angus cows populate the landscape of picturesque Lake Neusiedl, which straddles the Austrian-Hungarian border. Cows are the key element in biodynamic farming and complete the ecological circle. They are the source of nutritious fertilizer for all of Meinklang's vineyards. Lively soil and harmonious vine metabolism are a central focus for the Michlits family.
