Vineyard Notes: The 'Grapes of Wrath' is a blend of various native Palestinian varieties from old bush vines that are traditionally dry farmed. Grapes of Wrath is made from vineyards that were crushed by the Israeli military to pave a new settlement road. A vivid testament to Palestinian resilience – the vines grew back around the boulders and continue to thrive. The vinyeards are located in the hills southwest of Bethlehem at 930 meters above sea level and are planted to clay-limestone soils.

Winemaking Notes: Grapes were harvested by hand in September and 95% destemmed. Several native varieties are co-fermented, with daily manual punch downs and skin maceration lasting between 1 and 8 weeks depending on the plot. Malolactic fermentation occurred naturally. Wine aged in amphora made from Palestinian black clay, excavated in Gaza. Three rackings, no fining, no filtration.
