The thirteenth release of Maybach Amoenus, from a hillside vineyard on the western side of Calistoga, where the moderating temperatures of the Black Mountain Gap are 10-15 degrees cooler than on the western side, allowing gradual ripening and good maturation.

    Coming from a site in Calistoga, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Amoenus is medium ruby/plum-hued, with a solid nose of red plums, black raspberries, sweet baking spices, and chocolate all defining the aromatics. It’s medium to full-bodied and has a soft, supple, layered, complex profile, integrated tannins, and a good finish. It’s already drinking nicely yet will evolve gracefully over the coming 10-15 years.
