Vineyard Notes: The 2018 Merlot comes mostly from vineyards located in Calistoga with a splash of Howell Mountain fruit. It is a combination of intense and structured mountain grown fruit and the soft, rich fruit from lower elevation vineyards.

Winemaking Notes: The fruit was hand picked last September 2018 and underwent a 7-day fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Aging took place in French Oak barrels.

Tasting Notes: Ripe black fruit flavors coat the entire palate and linger in a long delicious finish.

    A great value in high-end Merlot, the 2018 Merlot has a medium to full-bodied, perfumed, elegant style as well as lots of ripe back cherry and cassis fruits, some floral, spicy, chocolaty nuances, ultra-fine tannins, good mid-palate depth, and a great finish. Drink bottles any time over the coming 10-12+ years.
