Vineyard Notes: Between 480 and 550 meters, the Istine Vineyard is one of the highest vineyards in Chianti. This 5-hectare vineyard was planted in 2002 and is completely isolated by woods.

Winemaking Notes: The grapes are manually harvested. Alcoholic fermentation lasts between 15-20 days in concrete tanks at a controlled temperature. Maceration lasts for 45 days. The wine ages for 12 months in 20 or 30hl Slavonian oak with minimal intervention. It then rests in bottle at the winery for 1 year before release.

Tasting Notes: Vigna Istine shows raspberry and cherry on the nose. The palate is bright and fresh with nice acidity balanced by the red fruit flavors. This is more elegant than Vigna Cavarchione. Simply stunning!

    The 2020 Chianti Classico Vigna Istine is a wine of total understatement and class. The translucent finesse of Radda comes through loud and clear. Crushed rocks, mint, chalk and white pepper add a striking top register of brilliance throughout. The 2020 is flat out gorgeous.
