Winemaking Notes: The Sangiovese grapes macerate and ferment in glass-lined cement tanks. The wine matures in French barrels. Bottling occurs after one year to preserve its vibrant youth.

Tasting Notes: The Montenidoli Rosso di Toscana is a bright, brilliant red showing freshness on the nose. In the mouth, it is lively and exuberant with a long aftertaste. This wine is perfect for meat dishes; try it with beef, pork, lamb, duck, ham, and salami.

    This red delivers an attractive mix of cherry, leather, spice, Mediterranean scrub and tobacco flavors, with a distinctive salty underpinning. Balanced and long, with a succulent feel and refined tannins.

    Montenidoli's 2019 Toscana Rosso is a very pretty Sangiovese with tons of varietal character. Crushed flowers, spice, cedar and tobacco meld into a core of vivid red cherry fruit. Bright acids and slightly angular contours make the Toscana Rosso a wine for the dinner table. Although the 2019 is a bit rustic, there is also something very pleasing about the genuineness of this wine. The Rosso is what it is, and it not trying to be anything it isn't. That's a quality I appreciate greatly.
