The grape Pinot Blanc - the French name of the Weissburgunder/Pinot Bianco - was brought to South Tyrol around 1850 by the Archduke Johann of Austria. It thrives best in locations with dry, loamy and calcareous soils and large temperature differences between day and night.
Vinification: Gentle pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation occurs in stainless steel. The wine matures in stainless steel vats to keep its fresh and crisp palate.
Tasting Notes: In the glass, this Pinot Blanc is a shade of brilliant straw yellow with greenish reflections. The fruity aroma consists of apple, pear, peach and pineapple. The flavor is fresh with a pleasant and persistent texture.
Pairing Notes: Drink this wine as an aperitif or pair it with asparagus, mussels, fish, and vegetarian dishes.
