From his 26 hectares across Lantignié, Brouilly, Moulin-à-Vent, and Morgon, third-generation vigneron Jean-Paul Dubost crafts wines that perfectly balance the lush fruit, mineral precision, and warm accessibility that define great Beaujolais. Taking over from his father Henri in the mid-1990s, Jean-Paul gradually transitioned the family vineyards to biodynamic and organic practices. Today, he works alongside his sons, Jeoffrey and Corentin, who continue to nurture the land with the same organic dedication.

Dubost's approach in the cellar masterfully blends regional tradition with a minimalist philosophy—employing spontaneous fermentations, classic semi-carbonic macerations, and low intervention. No destemming is used, except for the bold, structured wines from Moulin-à-Vent, and added sulfites are kept to an absolute minimum during bottling.

Rather than imposing a house style, Jean-Paul’s wines vividly express the unique terroir of each vineyard and cru. His careful nuances in vinification and aging serve only to amplify the voice of the land. In his wines, you can taste the stony sharpness of Brouilly, the subtle spiciness of Moulin-à-Vent, and the generous richness of Morgon. Meanwhile, the wines from his home village of Lantignié, which borders Régnié and Morgon, feel more like great examples of cru Beaujolais than simple villages-level fare.
