Domaine de L'Epinay 2025 Sauvignon Blanc, Loire Login On Order

Located in the heart of Clisson, one of Muscadet's premier cru villages, Domaine de l'Epinay has been farmed by the Paquereau family since 1900. Today, brothers Cyrille and Sylvain Paquereau represent the fifth generation, continuing the family's commitment to showcasing the true potential of Muscadet through organic farming, old vines, and site-driven winemaking.

The estate farms 52 hectares, nearly half planted to melon de bourgogne, on a diverse mix of granite, gabbro, schist, and mica-rich soils. These well-drained, mineral-rich terroirs produce Muscadet with remarkable freshness, texture, and aging potential. Since converting to organic farming in 2011, the brothers have focused on lower yields, careful vineyard work, and harvesting each parcel at optimal ripeness to capture the distinct character of every site.

In the cellar, the approach is traditional and hands-off. Native yeast fermentations, extended aging on the lees in underground concrete tanks, and minimal intervention allow the wines to develop depth while preserving their vibrant energy and mineral precision. The result is a lineup of expressive Muscadets that go well beyond the category's reputation, offering everything from bright everyday drinking wines to complex, cellar-worthy bottlings from the Clisson Cru.

In addition to their acclaimed Muscadets, Domaine de l'Epinay also produces a small range of traditional method sparkling wines from estate-grown fruit, all crafted with the same focus on purity, balance, and sense of place.
