Famille Baudry 2024 Sancerre AOC Login

Famille Baudry is a multi-generational estate rooted in Sancerre since 1920, when Hervé Baudry's grandfather helped rebuild the region's vineyards in the wake of phylloxera. Today, Hervé and his sons, Bastien and Quentin, continue the family's commitment to producing classic, site-driven Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from some of Sancerre's most prized limestone terroirs.

The estate farms organically certified vineyards across the villages of Sainte-Gemme-en-Sancerrois, Sury-en-Vaux, and Verdigny, where mature vines rooted in chalky limestone and caillottes produce wines of purity, minerality, and freshness. Farming emphasizes healthy soils and fully ripened fruit, while winemaking remains traditional and restrained, with gentle pressing, long, cool fermentations, minimal intervention, and modest sulfur additions.

The resulting wines capture the precision and vibrant character that have made Sancerre one of the world's benchmark regions for Sauvignon Blanc, combining bright citrus, stony minerality, and remarkable aging potential.
