La Lata brings Spain's most beloved wine cocktails and beverages to life in a convenient can, or "lata."
La Lata was founded by husband and wife duo Álvaro de la Viña and Ana González, the visionaries behind Selections de la Viña. In 2019, The Wine Enthusiast honored them as part of their 40 Under 40 Tastemakers for their work in importing natural wines from Spain and distributing them across the United States. Having previously worked in citrus importation before transitioning to wine, they’ve now come full circle by blending their past and present careers.
Originally from Sevilla, La Lata began with their own interpretation of “rebujito" cocktail—a refreshing sherry drink enjoyed during the city's Feria de Abril. The vibrant can designs draw inspiration from the festival and its beautifully adorned casetas (fair tents).
From there they expanded into other regional wine cocktails and beverages from Spain, all of which made naturally using organic fruit. With each can, La Lata aims to transport you on a virtual journey through their homeland, offering a taste of Spain in every sip.
