Grapesmith & Crusher 2022 Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley | Login | — | In Stock |
From the same people that import Otto’s Constant Dream comes Grapesmith & Crusher! Melissa and Dan Saunders, owners of Communal Brands, have headed out west to produce Washington and Oregon wines. The Saunders travel to Washington every year to assemble the final blends, putting their stamp of approval on every bottle of Grapesmith & Crusher!
In Washington, they have partnered with a family in the region who owns responsibly farmed vineyards all over the Columbia Valley (2,000 acres) and has a winery in the Wahluke Slope. The family is responsible for helping to establish two top AVAs: Ancient Lakes and Wahluke Slope.
In Oregon, they have partnered with a family who farms and manages nearly 600 acres of prime vineyard sites across five AVAs. The historic Hyland Vineyard is in the mix, with Pinot Noir plantings dating back to 1971. It is one of Oregon’s oldest vineyards, located at 600-850 feet elevation in the foothills of the Oregon Coastal Range. Hyland has one of the largest plantings of own rooted Cloury clone. There is a huge commitment to responsible farming, with all vineyards LIVE certified and 80 acres dedicated to biodynamic practices.
Grapesmith & Crusher is a wine that ticks all the critical boxes – good fruit, good price, memorable label, and most importantly, tastes like the terroir!
