Hatzidakis Winery 2025 'Santorini Familia' Assyrtiko, Santorini PDO

Santorini Familia is the flagship Assyrtiko of Hatzidakis Winery, built around the Hatzidakis family’s longtime relationships with the growers of Pyrgos. The grapes come from the family’s own vineyards and from longtime vine growers they consider part of the family.

The grapes are hand-harvested and chilled overnight before being pressed whole and fermented with indigenous yeasts at 17–18°C. The wine spends six months in stainless steel and is bottled unfiltered.

Bright and mineral-driven, with lemon, lime, white flowers, and the unmistakable salinity of Santorini. The palate is soft and airy but carries plenty of refreshing acidity, finishing long and clean. A natural match for shellfish, asparagus, green salads, Cycladic cheeses, and lighter meats.

Serve at 12–14°C. Built to age for five years or more.

The name Familia is a tribute to the growers who stood by the Hatzidakis family after Haridimos Hatzidakis passed away in 2017. His vision was to gradually work toward making the winery’s wines exclusively from the family’s own organically farmed vineyards. Instead, longtime growers stepped in to help support his children, Stella, Antonis, and Ariadni, and those relationships continue today. In 2018, ‘Familia’ was added to the wine’s name in recognition of those growers and Haridimos’ vision.
