Winemaking Notes: The Tinto Cosecha is made from Hermanos Pecina's youngest vines, La Veguilla and Valseca vineyards, which average 27 years in age. The grapes are destemmed, crushed, and macerated for three to four days before fermentation begins naturally with the wild yeast on the skins. Fermentation then continues for 10-12 days more. The wine is aged in stainless steel with racking to another tank every three months. No oak aging. The wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Tasting Notes: Balsamic notes, good acidity, fresh and pleasant to drink. Lots of fruity nuances.

"This is an entry-level bottle from one of my favorite Rioja producers. It’s made from the estate’s youngest vines, which are still around 25 years old, and unlike more ambitious Riojas, it is not aged in oak, which leaves it fresh, fruity and immediately accessible. It’s a balanced, refreshing expression of tempranillo from a good Rioja terroir."

    The 2024 Señorío de P. Peciña is 95% Tempranillo, 3% Garnacha and 2% Graciano from Rioja Alta. Ripe fruit leads the nose, joined by a touch of wild herbs and blackberry. The palate is fragrant and lightly creamy, wiht a firm yet polished structure, well-integrated tannins and a faint lactic nuance. Juicy and approachable on the finish it offers a very good value.

    The young red 2024 Señorío de P. Peciña Cosecha Tinto is primary and fruit-driven, with notes of berries and herbs and a note of licorice that emerged with some time in the glass. This is unoaked and has no makeup; it's just juicy, lush and velvety, produced with a light extraction to make it approachable and easy to drink. It's not a shy wine at 14.5% alcohol. 70,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2025.
