This is a new addition to the Montepeloso line. It is meant to be a lighter drinking red wine for everyday consumption. Think a Tuscan Coast version of Schiava to be served slightly chilled. Juicy and bright with 2 grams of sugar to add to mouthfeel.

A 2-hectare, 25-year-old Sangiovese plot that produces big bunches with soft tannins at full ripeness. The resulting wine straddles the boundary between light red and dark rose.

25% Whole cluster. Maceration lasts for approximately 10 days before aging in old French demi-muid for 5 months an additional 6+ months in tank and bottle.

    The 2025 Lupo, 100% Sangiovese, is brisk and refreshing , qualities that make it a solid choice for drinking now and over the next few years. It's an ideal delicatre red to drink with a slight chill during the warm summer months. What a total delight.
