Vineyard Notes: Croft Vineyard is truly one of the top white wine vineyard sites in the Willamette Valley. The vineyard is located southwest of the Eola Hills near the town of Monmouth. The certified organically farmed Croft Vineyard is in the foothills of the coast range and grown in ancient marine sediment soils. The vineyard is dry farmed. Owned by Chancy and Toni Croft and farmed by Lee Croft ( meet the Crofts ), Jay Somers has been working with the Sauvignon Blanc since 1999. His 2004 Croft Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc won best white wine of the year in Sunset Magazine and has been a little bit of a cult wine ever since. It also influenced Chancy and Toni to actually plant more Sauvignon Blanc! Jay works with 1 acre of the Clone 1 Sauvignon Blanc.
Wine Notes: Fermented in 60% stainless steel and 40% concrete egg, the 2023 vintage is a classic style of Sauvignon Blanc with a purity of fruit, balanced acidity, and focused minerality. The concrete egg adds beautiful texture to this white wine. A simply superb offering!
