Vineyard Notes: This Piedmontese inspired blend is made from fruit from Fox Hill Vineyard, Lost Hills Ranch and Las Cimas. Fox Hill lends depth, Lost Hills balances with vibrancy and bright aromatics, and Las Cimas gives a core of fruit and mouthfeel.

Vintage Notes: 2023 started quite late and a bit wet with Spring rains after a very wet winter. The summer months were mild and even, and everyone began worrying about whether the grapes would actually get ripe before the end of harvest. It was reminiscent of harvests a few decades ago when fruit stayed on the vine as long as possible to just get to ripeness. And luckily, Autumn was mild and warm all the way through to the end.

Tasting Notes: The 2023 shows depth of flavor while retaining a very moderate weight and a lithe finish. The Flora & Fauna White is a balance of florals (orange blossoms), minerals (wet stones), citrus (lemon peel), and orchard fruit (pear). Just when the wine starts to feel intense in its phenolics and aromatics, the palate turns to this near rain water like lightness with a crisp and clean finish.
