Vintage Notes: 2019 had a wet but warm spring with a few mild frosts during late April and fewer than average heat spikes. Near record precipitation amounts during late June and early July brought increased disease pressure to the region. The vintage will be remembered for the early rains in September and rapid cool down into October which challenged harvesting decisions. The cool vintage came largely from substantially lower maximum temperatures, while minimum temperatures were near average to slightly above average.
Winemaking Notes: This sparkling Riesling is made in the Champagne method and sees and extended tirage of 54 months.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of lemon, beeswax, fresh baked croissant and honeysuckle. The palate shows complex layers of star fruit, lemon, opal apples, kumquat, yuzu, fleur de sel and croissant.
