About Mauzac Rose: Cazottes Adèle is made from the Mauzac Rose grape, which is a native variety of the Gaillac region. It is a variant clone of Mauzac Blanc that takes on a pinkish gray color. This grape almost disappeared a few years ago, planted between the other grape varieties on the same plot. There are only two wineries that keep it alive. Cazottes is lucky to be the first house to plant an entire plot of land to pure Mauzac Rose in 2001.

Winemaking Notes: Fruit is harvested by hand, destemmed and pressed at the winery. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously in fiberglass and cement tanks with indigenous yeast. Mauzac Rose is an oxidative variety, so Laurent avoids racking as much as possible. The Adèle Blanc is aged sur lie in tank and is bottled unfiltered and unfined.

Tasting Notes: This dry white wine is a textural, with inviting density. Aromatics include jasmine, acacia and pear. The palate is crisp with notes of orchard fruit, green apples and quince. It has good aging potential.
