This brewery is a rising star in the Korean sool category. Sole focus is on quality and preserving the traditional method. They use a special nuruk called Hyang On Gok which incorporates mung beans. The result is stunning. Pungjeong Sagye Winter Soju offers a complex aroma of savory grain notes with botanicals. The texture offers a seamless and rich mouthfeel. Best enjoyed neat at room temperature, though it also works over ice or as a cocktail base.

Production Notes: Distilled from rice grown in Cheongju and hand-made traditional mung bean nuruk (Hyang-On-Gok). With no artificial additives, the base wine is distilled in an atmospheric-pressure copper pot still and aged in earthenware for over one year. Atmospheric-pressure distillation maximizes its rich, complex aroma. The Winter 23 is proofed down to 23% percent with locally sourced water.
