Vineyard Notes: Grapes come from the Trainor Vineyard in the Rutherford AVA. The 30-year-old Cabernet vineyard is located directly 10 miles east of Chenoa's family's property, on the sloping ridges of the Eastern Mayacamas Range, situated on the acclaimed Rutherford Mars-like dust.

Winemaking Notes: Grapes were manually harvested, then destemmed and crushed into open top fermenters, where the wine fermented to dry. It was then pressed into neutral oak where it aged for 20 months. No additions or subtractions. Unfined, unfiltered.

About the name: Miyakma, also known as Maiya'kma, is the indigenous word given to the Mayacamas Mountains by the Wappos, and means howling mountain lion, a presence that has encompassed the valley for thousands of years.
