Vineyard Notes: The Malbec vines are located in Vista Flores within the Tunuyán subregion of Uco Valley. The vines are planted to a high density of 6,850 vines per hectare. This high density reduces the clusters of fruit per vine, which concentrates the beautiful flavors. The mountain slope consists of a clay and rock base with silt and sand on the surface. Soils are slightly alkaline and with a low level of organic material. This makes for excellent drainage and moderate vine stress.

Winemaking Notes: Grapes are manually harvested in the second and third week of March. Once crushed, 30% of the must sees a short time in neutral French and American oak. The remainder is fermented in a mix of concrete and steel.

Tasting Notes: The Loca Linda Malbec is very expressive; it shows black cherry, raspberry and violet. The entry is smooth and elegant with subtle notes of spice and oak. In the mouth, it is young and fresh with balanced acidity and soft tannins.

The Liter Bottle: The one liter bottle holds 33% more wine than the average 750ml.

About the Label: The Andes Mountains are the iconic backdrop to the Mendoza valley. With limited annual rainfall (320mm), winemakers rely on the snow-capped mountains as their primary water source. They utilize ditch irrigation techniques to control the vigor and growth of the vines.
