Winemakers' Notes: "From Steve Mathiasson’s Linda Vista Vineyard, brightness and acidity define this wine. Aged for 8 months in barrel and another 18 months in bottle, the high acidity of the vineyard is well integrated with the fresh citrus and apple fruit flavors. This is another great example of the beauty of Napa’s terroir when the wines are not over-produced." - Shaunt & Diego

Vinification: The grapes are pressed directly and allowed to settle overnight. The juice is allowed to ferment spontaneously in tank before it is racked to neutral barrels. There, it ages for 8 months sur lies before bottling (14 ppm SO2 added at bottling). The wine then ages an additional 18 months in bottle before release.

Farming: Steve Mathaisson, a pioneer in organic and regenerative farming, tends the Linda Vista Vineyard. Converting from conventional to organic, he is now practicing no-till techniques, working to build the soils and increase their vitality, which helps produce wines of incredible tension and verve. Deep and well-drained soils derived from sandstone and shale make up the Linda Vista Vineyard. Tucked towards the southern end of the Napa Valley, this area feels the cooling influence of the San Pablo Bay, which helps to produce world-class white wines with freshness and power.

Tasting Notes: Incredible tension and acidity define the Les Lunes Linda Vista Chardonnay. Clocking at only 12%, this is not your typical buttery Chardonnay. Loads of stone fruit and citrus are mounted on a crisp, fresh, yet dense mouth for a wine that drinks well now, but will continue to age for years to come.
